This policy explains how Wablar, a product of Paylus Estudio, processes personal data of website visitors, platform customers, and individuals who interact with a customer business through WhatsApp.
1. Data Controller
- Owner: Paylus Estudio.
- Product: Wablar (wablar.com).

2. Your Role in This Relationship
We distinguish between two scenarios:
- Service Customer: when a company, business, or individual subscribes to Wablar, we act as a data processor with respect to the data processed on behalf of that customer. The customer is the data controller of such data.
- End User: if you contact a business that uses Wablar through WhatsApp, we process your messages on behalf of that business. To exercise your rights, please contact that business first.
3. What Data We Collect
3.1 Customer Data
- Identification data of the customer and authorized users (name, email, phone number, and role where applicable).
- Billing and tax information.
- Access credentials and platform activity logs.
3.2 Data Processed on Behalf of Customers
Through the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta) integration, we process:
- The end user’s WhatsApp phone number.
- Public WhatsApp profile name.
- Message content (text, attachments, location, shared contacts).
- Conversation metadata (timestamps, delivery status, message IDs).
3.3 Website Technical Data
- IP address, user agent, and visited pages.
- Minimum technical information required to operate the website.
4. How We Use Data
- To provide the contracted service and keep conversations active.
- To generate assisted or automated responses, depending on the configuration of each account.
- To provide support, billing, and comply with legal obligations.
- To improve service quality in an aggregated and anonymized manner.
We do not use messages to train general-purpose AI models.
5. Legal Basis
- Performance of a contract with the customer.
- Consent from the end user, obtained by the customer whenever required by applicable law or WhatsApp policies.
- Legal obligations (billing, responding to authorities).
- Legitimate interest in maintaining security and improving the service.
6. Third Parties With Whom We Share Data
- Meta Platforms, Inc. / WhatsApp LLC — provider of the official messaging API. Messages necessarily pass through their infrastructure. See Meta’s policy at https://www.whatsapp.com/legal.
- Artificial intelligence providers, when required for features enabled by the customer.
- Infrastructure providers (hosting, databases, monitoring), subject to confidentiality and data processing obligations.
- Competent authorities, only when required by a valid legal order (court order, subpoena, or similar lawful request). In such cases, we disclose only the minimum information required and maintain an internal record of each request.
We do not sell or transfer personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
7. International Transfers
Part of the infrastructure used by Meta/WhatsApp and our service providers may be located outside the customer’s country. When this occurs, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms recognized by applicable data protection laws.
8. Retention
- Customer account data: while the contract remains active and for up to 30 days after account termination (see Data Deletion).
- Conversations: retained by default while the customer maintains an active account. Customers may configure shorter retention periods.
- Billing data: retained for the period required by applicable law.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion (see the dedicated page).
- Object to processing or withdraw consent.
- Request data portability.
- Submit a complaint to the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

10. Security
We implement encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, role-based access controls, and audit logs for critical actions.
11. Changes
If we modify this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page with the revision date. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email.
